About This Event:
Jane and Kevin are a young married couple whose relationship becomes strained when another couple, Warren and Toni, involve them in the pursuit of breaking world records. Their evenings consist in attempts to secure one of the Guinness Book’s records. Jane becomes very obsessed with this quest, so much so that she decides that she can’t have a child unless it includes a record. Egged on by Warren and Toni, she wants to have the first child born in a particular year, which entails going to a Pacific island on the other side of the International date line. Kevin leaves her instead. Jane continues to try to break records, but Warren and Toni start to tire of her, abandoning Jane for fun and games with another couple. Jane then tries to patch up her relationship with Kevin. While Jane waits for Kevin to arrive for dinner and (what she most hopes for) some makeup sex leading to her getting pregnant, another visitor arrives at her apartment, who becomes a formidable obstacle to the recovery of their marriage.
